Marketing Human Resource Software
Hello all,
I recently got promoted to Internet Marketer for a HR Software company. This HR company has 50,000 clients right now. Basically, we wasn't getting traffic to our site, softwaretech(dot)com. Before I started, we were averaging around 400 unique visitors to our site, per month. I developed an internet marketing plan and within 3 months we are averaging 3,000 unique visitors per month. I am not here to talk about my accomplishments, but here to ask a marketing question. Our products deal with certain aspects of HR, our SoftTime deals with attendance tracking, our TimeKron deals with time management (payroll tracking), and our HR deals with employee personal information. Our products are really special, our customers love it, we just need more customers. I recently had an idea to develop a "leads page" or "sales page" for each of our three products. My thinking is that each leads page could generate different keywords, such as for our TimeKron, "time management software" would be a good keyword for us to gain customers. Right now, the keyword we are ranked #1 or #2 on is "time and attendance software", which covers all of our software, not individually. My question is, do you think a sales page or seperate websites for our products could generate leads? Am i right to think that targeting individual keywords for our products would benefit leads? We offer a demo download for each of our products, which is effective since our sales department closes deals at a rate of 50%. All we need to do is get the customer to download our demo, and we pretty much have a sale, since our software speaks for itself. Thank you for taking the time to read this and answer our question. I am sure someone has a great suggestion for this question. DeShea |

You are correct in your thinking and it's a fairly common approach. Most software developers have unique sites for each product. This will increase intentional traffic as well as bring some potential customers to your product. I wish you luck. Let us know how it pans out.
