I’ve got a website receiving a good amount of traffic on a regular basis. But I have never hired a Professional to build back links and generate traffic. When I checked the backlinks of my website, I have seen many irrelevant backlinks added. Can anyone please let me know the reason for this unnecessary added irrelevant backlinks and the procedure to remove the same?

Its good to have Backlinks to have a good PR for a site. I would suggest you to hire a professional SEO to handle your site and mange your site for Good SEO Values.

Why would you want to remove the backlinks? Only if they come from a "bad neighborhood" would you want to think about removing them. Just let them be.

I would think any backlink is better than none, but I agree with you. The more they pertain to your subject the better. I might would give the company I hired to make the backlinks a call and see what is up.

Build content and some people will link back to you. Submit articles for more links back,
comment on good quality blogs but do it properly...Exchange some links. ım afraid these days we need to build backlinks slowly or the alarm bells go off!

Why on earth would you want to remove them?? While some back links may not be related or may not have much power, they are still a back link and still help in one way or another. You can never have enough back links.

You don't need to hire some one to build back links and do SEO, most of them are scams or don't bring results anyways.

I'm not sure if you can just 'block' irrelevant backlinks... it'll be a bit more complicated than 'blocking' a person in MSN messenger you don't want to talk to. Some coding on your site or server will probably be required to do so.

But Ron is right, some backlinks are better than none. If they're not offensive sites, why try and remove them? If it's not related, people will come and then leave.

Or better still, they come, are converted to loving your site instead of the one they were on, stay and buy something... who knows?
