have you tried article marketing? Though not as effective as it was before, i think it is still worth a try.
The best free traffic you can get is search engine traffic. So i would advice you to do a great deal of search engine optimization for your websites. It is a long term goal, but it is worth the efforts.

Try to advertise you site through video I think it works because one of the effective advertising is video posting.

I've started with article marketing and after submitting, it takes a while but I get many backlinks. You have to start with some research for a good subject for your article. Look what people find interesting and what suits you to write about.
