I tried almost everything from google adwords to just joining forums and getting involved and trying to let people know about my new site and actually telling people I know off the inernet about my site and so far no luck

One way to get traffic to your site is to use traffic exchange programs like "startxchange" you join for free and have to surf the other members pages in return they will do the same. Join up to about 10 of these. Be sure to read the instructions carefully.

With out knowing what your business is is hard to tell you where to get targeted traffic so hit me back with your url.

I would begin writing some articles about your biz, and always add your resource box. i.e a bit about yourself and a text link back to your site. The text should be related to your site but doesn't have to.

These two things alone can bring traffic to your site. Hope this helps.

b) Needs of the market - are they looking for solutions to problems? What problems?

first think you need to do is analyze your market target, after that you can analyze your keyword and sincronize with popular keyword in your market...after that you can analuze your competitors to beat them in SERP..remember if your link placed in first line at the SERP,the visitors will coming because they too lazy for search again in second page or third page so they may chose one of top ten of SERP..

You has using adwords but it can't be help??maybe your website is too boring you know...

you can analyze keyword target and sincronize with your blog or site keyword...try to using popular keyword but more less using with another blog...

Dude,if your website is using for shop, you must using domain with high page rank or you can using minimum PR3..

and start to find much backlink in your blog/website,..for tips you can rent a blogroll in other blog with higher PR, if you interest i can help you, just PM i can give it..

Well there are lots of methods that you can drive tons of traffic to your site
but what Bill said were important. Many people just write something up or set up a site and hopes people will go there and have a look. That is wrong. You need to stick on a single relevant topic use social bookmarks, twitter, facebook etc to get targeted traffic.

Article marketing is alright but I am lazy to write articles and English is not my first language so I rather to have someone else to write it for me and submit to different blogs.

Make sure your website address is on all of your adverts, leaflets etc. Give people a reason to go to your site, special offers etc. Get the email address of everyone you do business with and send them an email at least once a month and include a link or reason for them to visit your site.
