Backlink building
Commenting on Forums
Posting classified ads
You May also comment of blogs which are not nofollow
Social bookmarking
Writing articles and submitting to Ezine articles ( as of now they are the only directory that is giving me a consistent amount of traffic) you can submit to other directories for backlinks.

there is another you can do by doing viral marketing through facebook...try to develop simple application and share with others....another you can do add more friends on your facebook..and build good relationship by commenting each others and then you can promote your website
