It depends on which forum you are in. This one is pretty easy going as long as you are advertising something that has to do with network marketing or internet marketing. Most forums have a specific area where you can place ads. This one has such an area but is not really working correctly at the moment, so we are allowing ads of an appropriate subject to be posted pretty much wherever. Other forums will usually tell you in the rules where exactly to post ads. What business are you advertising, I can help you pick where to put it on here

I made a mistake , but it seems to be for benefits .

Hi everybody ,

I am eager to reply to this message ,because I am also in almost a similar situation . But recently I have encountered a few programs which looks good for advertising my websites ( all affiliates ) .

One of them being Prospectresponse . It is giving a 30 days FREE TRIAL offer for Gold Membership . But I made a mistake of forgetting when it was expiring and had to make the $14.95 payment for the service for the month next to the TRIAL MONTH . I was planning to cancel my gold memebership BUT I found that a huge number of paid emails hit my email inbox . And those mails resulted in a amount of reward which is much more than the Gold Mebership fee $14.95 monthly . In addition , i got ample opportunity to mail to a huge number of marketers LEGALLY through a Autoresponder .

More importantly , the leads available in this site resulted in a number of sign ups in my affiliate links . So , I think it is likely to give me good result . Hence I am postponing my cancellation of Gold Membership for the time being . You may also try here , but ensure to read , if not fully , at least the salient points there .

http://www.adsaturation.net/cgi-bin/pr/d.cgi/AM49344

I am going to add my experiences , with other sites I found useful for advertising ,on a latter date .

Thanks .

Common advertising methods (that are not spamming):

search engine optimization
google adwords
joint ventures
email marketing

depends also what you sell, if you are an affiliate you can create a blog and sell through your blog getting visitors to blog from search engines (i.e doing search engine optimization)

Article submission also drives traffic if you learn how to do it PROPERLY.

There are several ways in which you can promote a website; none of which are considered SPAM.

More obvious solutions include PPC ads, and forum posting. But as to the latter, be sure that the site you are promoting actually holds interest to those on the forum you are considering. For example: you wouldn't necessarily advertise an auto-body restoration website on a parenting forum. Instead, you'd look for forums specifically geared to auto enthusiasts.

Safelists are another way to advertise, but then you have to deal with all of the return email that follows.

The two most overlooked advertising methods are:
1.) Ezine Advertising, and
2.) Press Releases.

Now, a press release won't work unless you can have it written in a way that offers "newsy" information to readers. If you can do that, in some cases you can have better than the #1 spot on search engine results, due to the fact that news pieces often appear above search results.

Ezine advertising is very effective. If you can, rather than just placing an ad, have an article written (or write it yourself) that positions you as an expert in the field your website is designed for. Submit it to several ezines for "free" use; but stipulate a link to your site must be included in the resource box.

Not only will this drive traffic to your site; but it will also position you as an expert in your field.

Hope that helps.

Four Ways to Generate Your Own Leads

Hello

Here are 4 ways to generate leads either free or low cost -

1) Actively participate in online social networks such as MySpace, and Ryze
2) Place paid advertisements in e-zines that target your audience.
3) Create a short e-course that you can give away in exchange for contact information
4) Create your own blog, update at least every other day and link to your web site

I personally drive traffic to a landing/capture page to build a list from as most visitors willl not buy anything from you on the first visit. It is important to test all ways of collecting traffic, either by capture or direct to sales pages

Buy me a Beer?
I think that the best way to get started is to start a blog (free or cheap) and write articles to promote the blog that promotes your business, website or affiliate.
