Hello Everyone! I have to say it is rather disheartening when I see forums filled with posts about their own opportunities, rather than having a discussion about ways that we can all maximize our advertising approach.

Isn't this supposed to be a forum for ideas rather than a cut-and-paste operation?

Well. In the spirit of sharing, let me just list a few of the ways I have found to advertise, socially network, and in general: get the word out about my business.
1.) start a squidoo lens (page) or two or three. Squidoo is a great FREE place to create webpages about simply anything you want. Example:

2.) start a blog. A blog is another way to have a running commentary about what your business is about- to describe how it is growing- to explain how it has enriched your life. Example:

3.) STOP CUTTING AND PASTING! Who really wants to open their inbox on a social networking site and see the same form letter you received yesterday from someone else? Take a second and actually write an original email.
4.) look for other free networking sites. Being active in 3-4 free social sites, and being genuine, can go a long way to proving your business acumen just by being honest and thoughtful and real with other people. I know it sounds touchy-feely but people are more apt to buy IN to what you are doing if you act like a real human being. Zenzuu is a big up-and-coming site that you need to be referred to in order to join. Example:

PPC and Social Networking really works for me. What we got in focusing on this marketing tools is more sales and more services supplied, more customers and more referrals.

I get best results at:

1 forums
2 manual traffic exchanges
3 free ad boards (however you need an eye-catching one-liner ;-)
4 paid popup advertising, but that can be a costly business

What is not working for me:
safelists and PTR

But I am still searching for the most effective way, so if you have a good suggestion, please let me know ;-)

I think it depends on your product or service too, what is the best channel to use.

Yeah, that's such a good tip it cannot be overemphasized. Nowadays I am so numbed by all the chain email that when I see a forwarded message in my inbox, it really has a lower perceived value to me than an original email does.
