I do have an awesome list but i also get fantastic results with all the yahoo groups that i use. I found it really all depends on what your marketing when using these methods and i'm doing awesome with my business using them.

Are the groups receptive to advertising? Do you need to establish yourself before advertising? I didn't know Yahoo Groups allowed advertising.

Yahoo does offer free advertising to hundreds of different groups. I am a member of all these and do very well with my businesses using them. Hope this helps.
