Hello Everyone! I have to say it is rather disheartening to see all the posts here really just posting ads about their own opportunities, rather than having a discussion about ways that we can all maximize our advertising approach.
Isn't this supposed to be a forum for ideas rather than a cut-and-paste operation? Well. In the spirit of sharing, let me just list a few of the ways I have found to advertise, socially network, and in general: get the word out about my business. 1.) start a squidoo lens (page) or two or three. Squidoo is a great FREE place to create webpages about simply anything you want. Example: World Domination, One by One 2.) start a blog. A blog is another way to have a running commentary about what your business is about- to describe how it is growing- to explain how it has enriched your life. Example: http://www.dimension-seven.blogspot.com 3.) STOP CUTTING AND PASTING! Who really wants to open their inbox on a social networking site and see the same form letter you received yesterday from someone else? Take a second and actually write an original email. 4.) look for other free networking sites. Being active in 3-4 free social sites, and being genuine, can go a long way to proving your business acumen just by being honest and thoughtful and real with other people. I know it sounds touchy-feely but people are more apt to buy IN to what you are doing if you act like a real human being. Zenzuu is a big up-and-coming site that you need to be referred to in order to join. Example: ZenZuu.com - manofaction - 34 - Male - www.zenzuu.com/manofaction I hope this helps you all start to make the most of sites like salespider and all the rest. it can make you beat over 100,000 of sites. 2- Make a blog from blogger.com and start posting your website articles with a linkback to your site in keywords to make you have a better rank for this keyword. 3- submit again your website articles to: ezinearticles.com isnare.com searchwarp.com ArticleCity.com goarticles.com a1articles.com and also include your website link in keywords. note: if you submit your site like this: yousite.com you will not get a higher rank. there's more you can read just go to my internet marketing blog and find lots of helpful adsense, adwords, seo techniques for free  .

Totally agree with manofaction - give and ye shall receive, and may I add that you only gain respect if you know your subject inside out and advise accordingly.
Active participation in more social networks is essential - I have just signed up to ZenZuu under "J" because of his honesty - does that prove a point?

Another free opportunity is to use free press release sites for online promotion. I've had really good success with them - both in terms of getting backlinks and in getting traffic. You can write tons of press releases and submit them for free - as long as the topic is newsworthy.
