I noticed a good book named “Government Funding and You” on Amazon.com. I ordered it and found it was excellent. Afterwards I ordered the CDROM, Workbook and other items. Combined with the listings from The Most Up-to-Date Grant Information I was able to put together my first grant application.

I tend to use my blog as my main advertising medium.

I am also just starting to make use of email safelists but I haven't had any success with these yet - (I only started using them on Friday 15th mind you)

I've used article marketing and traffic exchanges but I've never used my blogging for traffic. I know it works and I even recommend it but now I'm doing it. Great advice.

My best form of advertising is an offline method. I write a column about computer tips, internet marketing, webmaster tips etc (insert your own niche) and submit it to newspapers. I start locally with a newspaper and area trade magazines, shopper papers, church newsletters etc... I offer the article for free on a regular weekly, monthly basis as long as I can have a signature line at the end of it. Use the signature line to direct to my opt-in page offering them something useful for free. Works great and builds you as a local professional pretty quickly.
