Advertising wise, one of the systems i use (and am making money with) is the Hits2u application. It's pretty straight-forward, fool proof, and best of all, it's free.

Just insert your URL and your ad at Hits2u. This is not the best, but i'm only recommending it cos i personally know it works.

I run a variety of different advertising campaigns currently. Article writing is by far the best for me. Make sure your articles are credible though. Cannot write things that are not true. You need to sound like an expert. Also use the other sources from the previous responses. There's an e-book in my first sig that can really shed some light on the e-biz. Really helped me out when i first started to understand the biz. Best of all, its free. No obligations.
