| Tip 1: Know what a click is worth and bid accordingly. A #1 ranking on your favorite keyword is great but never forget that your objective is to run a profitable business. Know what a sale is worth to your bottom line. How much money do you make when you close a new sale? How much is that customer worth in repeat salesover the life of their relationship with you? This will vary from one business to another and one type of sale to another. If your sales model relies on repeat business, you may be able to safely and profitably bid higher on your best keywords. You may not make the profits on the front end but you know that theback end and repeat business will generate long-term profits. As an example, let's say that you offer a service or product that has a low front end profit for you but your repeat business is very strong meaning once someone orders, they will order from you again and again. You may be safe in bidding very high for your #1 position. Even though you may make less or even no profit on that first sale, you know that you can expect good profits on their next orders. On the other hand, if you offer a product or service that does not lend itself well to repeat or back-end sales, you want to bid your keywords more cautiously so as to leave room for your profits. Reality Check: If it costs you $10 to generate a $5 sale, you are losing money. Don't be blinded by the desire to be #1 in a keyword. TIP 2: Create tons of keyword listings and check your stats often. Remember. You are not paying for a listing. Money is deducted from your account only when someone actually clicks your link to visit your site. Think of every possible word, phrase, and combination you can think of that is related to your web site and offer. Those keywords that don't get clicks don't cost you anything. Log in and check your stats often to see what keywords are getting the best results and manage your accoun accordingly. TIP 3: Use bad spelling and plural forms of words. If you are offering a lead generating service, you will want to be sure to use not only "lead generation" but "leads generation". Use "online lead" AND "online leads" People type faster than they should sometimes and that can result in spelling errors when they are searching. So someone that is looking for "training" may type "trianing". By thinking of ways someone can mess up spelling on your various keywords, you are giving yourself a better chance at helping customers find you. TIP 4: Find and use what your customers are using. Overture is a very popular pay per click directory that is also very expensive. They offer a great tool you can use to find out exactly what your potential customers are searching for. They have a great tool called The Overture Search Suggestion Tool which can be found at http://inventory.overture.com/d/sear...ry/suggestion/ It's free and it will show you EXACTLY what people are using to search online. Use every tip to its fullest potential and you will find that your customers will begin finding "You" To your success, Henry Hilley http://Hilley.ws http://Hilley.Biz DESIGNATED DRIVER HenryForum@Freedom4You.org 1-888-TOO-MANY http://Home-Income-Team.org http://myEZstreet.org http://BestBusinessEver.net
