How can I get started in Affiliate Marketing?

Hi guys, I just created and ebook. This one is not about getting rich online like most others, but contains valuable immigration if you have a specific legal problem and how to work it out.

I know this is information that a lot of people will pay good money for, I just don't know where to start from.

I have the ebook, I have a website, everything is ready. I would like to get affiliates to promote it. Most of the information I found online about affiliate programs are for people who want to promote someone else's products, and my case is the opposite.

How should I get started? Should I go with Commission Junction, Clickbank, PayDotCom or what?

Any tips to get the biggest amount of affiliate interested in promoting a new product? I've read that they look at the statistics for the best sellers and they promote those products (it makes sense after all). How can I get their attention?

Thank you so much for your help!

Click Bank is my choice

If you have an ebook. Click Bank is free to get started. Set up your account as a publisher and then allow people to setup affiliates for your book give them 50%.
The way I see it 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing.

Click Bank has been around for years. They pay, and pay your affiliates. It is a great way to start.
Good luck with your endeavor and keep us posted on your journey.

Be Blessed

You need to think of who would most like to advertise your product.

Find some joint venture partners who are interested in what you are offering and work with them to get your product out there.

Its all pretty simple really.

best

I'd have to recommend starting off with Clickbank, too since it's one of the easiest ways to start building an affiliate network. Assuming you are promoting the book yourself, try adding an offer for the customer to become an affiliate. The best salesman for you is usually a happy customer.

Re: How can I get started in Affiliate Marketing?

You could begin by adding a affiliate sign-up link on your site, or you could search for an affiliate program network and join it. By becoming a member of an Affiliate network, the network will get people to sign up as your affiliate.

If you choose to create your own affiliate program. Be sure to think about how much commissionn you will pay for the promotion of your product (s). The more affiliates you have that are promoting your products. The more money you can make. It is a good idea to have as many affiliates as possible promoting your goods

Another, thing to keep in mind is to create a variety of banners and ads for your affiliates to use. You can play with different sizes, colors, and shapes that will enahnce the look and feel of your site.

For special promo's and holidays. Remember to create banners and ads, that reflects the occasion.

But most important, be sure to research the potential affiliate's site. You will want to make sure the site in some way correlates to what you hope to sell.

You could build a site/blog to promote your ebook. Many marketers have done this with success in the past. What they do is to post good content and then they have a link to their ebook sale page.

Also there are sites that specialize in reselling ebooks, like ebooks.com.

I thought clickbank requires you to pay set up fee? Correct me if I am wrong.

I would suggest paydotcom as it is free to start. Furthermore, payments are made via paypal instead of cheques.

I have just completed an eBook and I have as you said developed a site/blog to promote it. I'm new to this what I'm struggling with is getting people to come to the blog/site. I understand once you get something going its like a snowball effect but its just getting it started that I'm challenged. Any ideas how to just get the ball rolling? Should you start with clickbank if you are at groundzero? All ideas welcome!

Thanks Simon (different from the other one)

Yea - It's $50 for your first product on Clickbank. After that, then I believe it's only around $30 to place additional products on there.

Either way, Clickbank has a better dominating force than PayDotCom. I currently have a product up at PayDotCom that is selling well, but the fee's add up quick. Plus, when you take PayPal fees into consideration as well, I feel like I'm losing some cash with PDC.
