I've been working a lot lately to get sales on clickbank for work at home products and loose weight but when I checked yesterday I saw a sale for a small niche I've been using as a side project.
It took one article and some social bookmarking to make this sale.
I'm jumping on the don't compete with the big marketers untill you have conquered the smaller niches train.
It's a lot easier to rank high on keywords that are searched a lot.

Congratulations for your sale. It is quite true what you say. Many people jump into the big niches without mastering the small niches.

My advice is always to work hard with smaller niches and learn how things are done, before moving over to bigger more competitive and maybe more profitable niches.

It is true that sales in smaller niches are not regular, but you learn so much in the process.

Have you also tried some of the press release sites? Some of them will take advertising or the announcement of a new product. You just have to read the guidelines.

its good that it took you only an article and few SBM submissions, coz i have personally seen this thing that making your first sale is the mosts difficult thing to do as far as internet marketing is concerned. i have been an internet marketer since last one and half months and i have not made a single sale still. i am doing everything except article submissions. i will see this week more and then i will start doing article ans press release both!

It is great news. You have got the commission for smaller Niche. I think there is now smaller or bigger Niche. Sell is always sell. Many people makes mistake promoting popular Niche products, but there is already very tough competition. So, If we want to become successful then we must find Sub-Niche or Sub-Sub-Niche. That means very low competition.

You have got the key of success. Keep it up.

Congratulations and yes you are absolutely right. It is lot easier to start small. Better to master the process and steps in smaller niches before competing with big guns.

But then when you are confident you should not be afraid to enter competitive markets. All IM gurus say one thing - competition is where the money is.
