sometimes i wonder if being an affilate is really all that i thought it would be. I mean i think most people sort of get this idea in their head when they start affilaite marketing that they will just set up a few links, promote someone else's products and collect the cash.


I have to admit that somewhere in the back of my head i kind of had that fantasy. But recently that has been shattered and i have realised that this affilaite stuff is just like any other job, in the way that whatever you put into it you will get back out.


Oh well, I am guessing i am not the only one who kind of had that fantast at the beginning. Nevermind i will just keep trying untill i succeed!

Hi Nick. My first introduction to internet marketing was to join clickbank, find a category that interests me, set up affiliate links, set up a blog and write about them, inserting links and/or banners. There was no mention of how to promote the blog once it was set up. I didn't make money this way, and decided to join an MLM company. It's working out much better. You're right in that you get out what you put in. So the more time you have to work on your business, the more you'll get out of it.

The weird thing is a lot of people promote clickbank products, I do to but I make so much more with regular companies like overstock, itunes, gamestop, and more. It is more than just putting a banner up, but once you get your blogs, lens, and other things up. You'll get so many clicks and buyers. I have over 5,000 clicks, and a low 328 buyers, but thats just from Linkshare So try out them, I like clickbank, but I think their sites are kind of weird looking. But try out that site it'll make you get back into Affiliate Marketing.

I have tried lots of different affiliate programs without much success, but I suppose that was because I didn't really have any idea what I was doing. Just remember that this takes time. Keep a positive attitude and mindset and do not quit. I know a lot of people who quit because they are getting frustrated that they are not getting the results they thought they would. Next thing you know, one of their downline explodes a month later.

It all takes time. Just keep learning, growing, working and helping others, your rewards will be great.

Affiliate marketing may be the easiest and quickest way to start making money online, but that doesn't mean that there's no hard work involved. It takes time and effort to build a solid foundation, but once that's done, the rest is only maintenance. In my experience, it takes about 30 hours of solid work to build a good foundation. Then you can cut back to 2-3 hours of maintenance a month.

The important thing is not to ever give up. Keep on trying. You will succeed.

Persistance and Patience are the two most important things to start making sales in affiliate marketing or even internet marketing in general. This forum is great place to learn what you need to do, but taking action is the most important thing. You can read all want and learn as much as you want but if you don't take action, you won't start to see any success.
