There are lots of ways to get traffic to your website. Some ways easier than others, depending on what you are promoting.

Here is a quick list of ways I use

- Youtube
- Writing Articles
- Social Networks
- Forums
- Squiddo/Hubpages
- Safelist
- Classifieds
- Traffic Exchanges

And of course PPC though I don't use PPC...

Quality content, confidence and some knowledge can get you far in your niche too. Answer a question and offer something free to your audience. Ebooks are a big thing these days and a good way to start building a list of subscribers.

Whenever you do a task to get traffic to your website be sure you are using good keywords that go with what your promoting as well.

Buy me a Beer?
I'll be honest about something. Most of my traffic comes from referring websites like youtube, ezine articles, forums, etc... Which could mean I am weak on keywords, I am not really sure...

Here are some free keyword tools:
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Free Keyword Suggestion Tool From Wordtracker

There are more, I like googles personally...

Hmm, have you heard of Travis Sago's Bum Marketing Method? Its free and teaches you how to write keyword rich articles and get them on the front page of google. Its been a while since I checked it out, but its worth it. It might help you.

I don't got much advice on keywords, I am sure that is still my weak spot even with reading tons about it and studying bum marketing lol

Oh well, hope this helps!

To ad to the list, I would also suggest press release sites, email marketing, and Yahoo and Google groups. As for keywords, Google's tool gives you a pretty good idea of what people are searching for and what, therefore, you should be targeting.

Hey Rizwan,

You might also want to think about using forums in your niche, social networking sites and even eBay.

I hope this helps.

I agree with "making it happen" I get most of my traffic from free websites that allow backlinks ,you could allso do a search in google with your keyword in brackets "" and add site etc in brackets ""

Smile Keywords in Webpage

One of my marketing teachers taught me to use keywords in the following ways when planning a website:

1. Whatever your product, service or web page is about - that's the main keyword. It should be in your domain name and in the title of your blog name.

2. The title of a blog post or the headline on your sales page has your keyword or keywords in it also.

3. The first sentence of your blog post or article you are writing should once again have your keyword or keywords mentioned.

Just these 3 places you insert your keyword/keywords. It's all that's needed. Any more than that, you will be, what's called, keyword stuffing.

Hope this helps

I recommend having a blog (assuming your main site isn't one). Then use this blog to keep your audience informed, such as uses or advantages of your product or service and such. Provide a link to your main site (assuming this is where you make your sales).

Interesting blog posts will get you to social bookmarking sites, although you can do this yourself as well.

Write articles to share your expertise in your field as well. Submitting these to article directories to increase viewership. You can make videos as well for those who prefer to watch and listen and submit it to video directories.

Lastly, you can use social media to connect to a wider audience. Provide a link to your blog in each of your social media accounts.
