-The first thing i can think of as for now is to instruct search engines not to index it.
-The second thing is to give the page on which you host your e-book an unthinkable name. very long and unrelated with the book. so the link to the book will also be long and unrelated with the content -Change the name on regular basis therefore the link. will make some research and come up with more later!

Depends on what processor your using. If your selling through Clickank, you can try as mentioned above. If your selling on your own, say through paypal, use $7dollarsecrets script or DLGuard. Both do not have a static page for download, so it's not something that can be accessed easily without paying and they both limit the time to download.

No 100% Way Of Stopping Thieves
There is really no way to 100% protect your product from theives.
Well the above suggestions will work, if someone really wants to get a product withut paying for it, all they need to do is purchase it and then ask for a refund. There is no way to stop this unless you use a download protector such as White Knight which will disable the ebook. But that is an .exe ptogram so many people will be leery of downloading your product if you use such a program. So you need to use a business platform for your products that allows you to ban these kind of thieves. Then if someone "purchases" your product only to ask for an immediate refund, you can ban them from ever purchasing from you again. Donna

The problem is that people share their products, if one person gets a hold of it they can share it. File sharing will affect your business just like movie industry, music industry, software industry, etc. If Microsoft can't stop people from using pirarted verisons, what do you think you can do? The internet is a crazy world. Just have to do the best you can

Definitely use the noindex, nofollow tag plus password protect the folder that the download page resides. There are also software such as DLGuard which help with protecting your download page. I suggest using a combination of both.

There's a software program called eBook Pro that allows you to switch ebooks on and off, control the number of times it gets opened, put expiry dates on usage, all from your master control panel. I've played with it a bit and it looks pretty good.
