I have a question that is there a way can I get more when my twitter reaches 2000 following?

If I understand your question correctly, you're asking how you can increase your follower numbers to the 2,000 level so that you can then build that number higher.

Twitter has changed recently and as such their limits have changed. It did used to be that if you reached the 2,000 followers level then you could build your followers at a much faster pace.

However, from my own experience (and I currently manage over 20 different Twitter accounts) when you do reach the 2,000 followers level Twitter does not allow you the 'freedom' that it once did.

I built many of my accounts carefully until they reached the 2,000 limit but noticed that Twitter still placed a 'restriction' on the number of followers I could add before the number of people following me increased.

While I do not know the current ratio that Twitter uses, I do know that it will not give you a 'free for all licence' like it used to do when you hit the magic 2,000 followers number.

Here is a New York Yankees Twitter account that I manage

As you can see, it does have over 1,000 more followers than people the account is following

The same can be said for my personal account at

Do not worry about your numbers on Twitter - concentrate on building a follower list of TARGETED people to your niche and INTERACT with them.

Trust me, numbers on Twitter mean nothing - relationships mean EVERYTHING.

Just keep cleaning up your list. Go through who you follow and un-follow those that are not following you. Also it takes some time. If you let it sit, you'll often build up and over the 2k. Even after 2k, you'll still only get to follow like a couple hundred extra at a time. I have one account just hitting 6k, took some time.

I agree with Ron clean your list. Block the unwanted followers. It may be tempting to keep anyone following you just for the numbers but look at their messages, if it is unrelated to you then block them. In the long term this strategy is much better. Good content is key and so is frequent updates. Hook people by showing that you are an authority in your given niche then keep them interested. People love niches. Twitter is all about timely delivery of relevant content.

Keep your posts up to the minute and you should gain a great following. Remember how referrals work. One follower will refer his or her friends or colleagues to you. It is not just them you are tweeting to it is everyone they know too.

Upon reaching 2,000 followings you are only allowed to follow 10% more of your follower number. So give your account a day or two, then remove those who are not following you back on your list. Hope this help
