I have family down there though I live in Canada. I have planned to visit Costa Rica at least a dozen times but still haven't. Every time i had it all planned - poof- and the idea was shattered by something unexpected coming up. But I am promising myself it will be very shortly!

Prices are going up in everyday. Still, there are many great deals in the south by Golfito. If you buy some land, maybe 3 acres for $5000 and sit on it for 10 years, you will do well. By that time, the infrastructure will be in place and the airport and highways will be built.
