How to launch my ebook for an avalanche of sales?

This is my first ebook and I have been online for ten years in the self help niche. have just announced my ebook to my lists of more than 8000 subscribers and offered ten people a free copy to review...

What should I do next?

How can I create buzz?

How can I sell in advance of the launch?

Any marketing ideas for me? How can I get others to promote the book?

Help from someone with experience please...

You could promote it on Clickbank.

Write an article on self help and post it on the forums and ezines with a backlink to your squeeze or sales page.

Offer a chapter free to let people see what it's all about

Turn it into audio and package it up.

Do a JV with someone in the same niche

PPC of course

Affiliates

eBay

Post a video on YouTube with link back to sales page

Go peoples' blogs in the same niche and post a nice comment with backlink to your page

Just my thoughts...

First and foremost you need a sales letter or sales page that converts. No sense sending traffic to a page that doesn't make sales. Not to mention, you don't want to ask others to promote it if they won't make any money, they won't be to happy.

You need to have a quality product. You had a great idea in having others review it. Though you might want to be a little picky as many people will give a good review only because they want a link on your sales page. Not to say that is the case, just seen it happen many times.

Find the big players in your niche and politely ask them if they would take a look at your product, and of course give them a copy. Can't think of many that will promote anything without first seeing the product.

Just a few ideas. My brain is not working well today..lol

I would be more interested in knowing about your relationship with your list? If you have a list of 8000 people, how often do you contact them? If you have a good rapport with those 8k people you almost would not even need to create buzz.

Most marketers would kill to have a list of 8000 for a single niche book release.

When you have a list that has been sitting dormant with no contact from you, then the list really does not have any reason to trust you, or your book.

Has anyone from your list bought your book? What about the review copies? Did you offer anyone on this site an option to review it. It is likely that someone here is also in your niche. Getting a review from a respected person in your niche would help build your credibility.

Yes you will still need to have a sales page, e-mail copy, a squeeze pages to land on for adding more leads and all the other fixings, like maybe freebies, etc. But with an 8k list, you should have those before promoting to the entire list (again depending on your rapport with the list)
