What is it that you find "tough" to learn about internet marketing?

Hey guys,

I'm fairly new to this board (but, a longtime member over at the WarriorForum, as well as Digital Point), so first off, I look forward to contributing a lot of good stuff here.

The overall purpose of this thread is because I want to ask this one question to see what everyone's number one thing that they "just can't figure out" about internet marketing is. Is it PPC? Article writing? Traffic generation? Building a list? So on and so on.....

For me, I'm fairly new to list building. Originally, my model that was setup was to write articles to generate traffic, driving visitors from my articles to a landing page that had an affiliate offer on it. Sometimes I'd get the sale, sometimes I wouldn't. That's where list building came in.

While it's taken me some time to get the hang of it all, I finally feel like I have a decent understanding of it, but nowhere near any of the "big dogs" out there.

So, what's your toughest thing that you can't seem to crack with internet marketing?

I also use list building i am fairly new but i am working with a mentor at the moment so i am learning a lot and looking to make big money soon, but i suppose if there was one area we could all do with more of is traffic.

I am rather new to internet marketing. I find link building to be tricky. Any tips/literature?
