Quick question!!! is there many big diffrences between countrys as far as marketing goes or do you think what works for one will work for others??
im curious as i am from the uk and alot of the ideas i have implemented are from the states Anyone??

Internet marketing is universal and can work anywhere. that not withstanding, the internet culture of a people can affect the degree of success of one particular marketing strategy.

just as you will not try to sell pork to a Muslim in your offline business because you know they don't consume pork, you should not try to sell pork to your online customers if you know they are Muslims. just because they are in front of their computers wont mean that they should start eating pork.

so what i mean is this: when doing internet marketing, it is essential that you know your target audience, and sell products that they can buy. this target audience can differ from country to country.

I think you are talking about GEO-marketing. this is a new technique and is restricted to the probable areas where you see the most of your business. I personally think its a good idea as you save your time, effort and skill promoting where you dont get conversions.

I have to agree with David, basic human needs, desires and what attracts people is fairly universal.

What you are selling may vary from culture to culture but that's where your market research comes in. You also need to know where to reach the right people and understand what gets their attention. Those things can vary greatly from audience to audience.

i'm from asia and i focus on the us market because us is the largest market and us ppl like to shop online. for uk i think should be no problem. for my own country most of them think make money online is a scam.but i also like to earn usd because of the conversion rate.
