What autoresponders really are

This post is kind of basic, but i am posting it anyway cos many people are going wrong on this.

Some people think Auto responders are a piece of software for loading
email addresses into so you can then blast thousands upon
thousands of people your message and promote your business.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

What they are intended for, and should only be used for,
is when people fill out an optin form on a web page. This
means they are giving you permission to send them
information about something.

it is not a good idea to import subscribers into an auto responder! let them opt in.

The auto responders is great cos it dose most of the work for you.
So you don't need to manually email your new subscribers cos
The auto responder does all the hard work for you.
It will follow up and do the selling for you while you sleep.

An auto responder is a tool that you can have up to several
hundred pre-written messages stored to be delivered at
pre-determined intervals.

When someone opts into your list, usually they will receive a
message immediately, then several more a day or two apart
and gradually the messages will get further apart up until they
are around 1 week between mailings.

You will then be able to follow up with broadcast messages
every time you have a special offer for your list or some
content to pass on.

The sole purpose is to create and maintain interest in your prospect
and sometimes they are used for training purposes for your group
like we have set up for our system.

Auto responders are amazing. I recently made my own 25week newsletter and now its set up its on autopilot it just fantastic.

Another great feature I recently discovered is adding your auto responder opt in to the end of any videos you make. Very powerful.

Also making your own custom autoresponders can add a smooth finish to a great squeeze page.

I agree waxman if you have not got an autoresponder then there is no point in continue with your efforts, If you want to run a successful business then this tool is a must once set up you can concentate more on your other daily activites.

That's a great idea. Much better than, for example, having a pop over opt-in on your blog (which I always feel must become annoying for regular visitors to a blog).

Nice article! Autoresponders are a great online invention. I like the fact that it automatically notifies users/clients that their email has been received. It's a good tool in communication.

It is important to remember that autoresponders are basically relationship builders.

With them you can stay in contact with someone who initially does not know or trust you, but over a period of time, thanks in part to your autoresponder, a relationship is established, their level of trust for you increases, and hopefully, eventually they loosen the death-grip on their wallets and purchase from you.

So, by and by, an autoresponder is a relationship builder/ PR agent.
