How is the economy affecting your business?

Has anyone felt an increase in competition due to more people joining the IM ranks, and/or decrease in sales due to the financial woes consumers are facing?

The economy is awful, so businesses too are awful. I do think I have noticed a drop in my online sales.

That not withstanding, people who make it out of this trail periods with their heads high should be proud of them selves.

we still have a long way to go though! but i really think the worst is over. we should be expecting some kind of take off in the next 6 months or so.

Economy plays an important role in any business and in recession period it has made business very difficult. Here I agree with waxman1000 like he said that we have faced the worst condition now we can expecting good in next 6 months.

My business has been ever increasing the last several months. Probably part in the fact that I did a ton of promotion. I am not complaining.

Once a business suffer from bankruptcy the rate of marketing decreases that affects the economy.

This is a good question. I think thousands more have joined the IM ranks in the past year but it will take a while before many of them are effective.

It is not easy to get everything lined up so that making money becomes a smooth operation. You either pay for your progress with money or time - well usually it has to be both.

many statistic proof that online sales have increase becoz of recession. may u shud promote recession proof niche and also sell cheaper product to attract customer
