I did post the post on staying focused. in fact it is not easy to get out of that challenge. You have to be really strong minded and determined. some simple tip will be to plan your work and set short and long term objectives. Make sure you write down everything you need to do the next day before going to bed today. when you weak up, try as much as possible to accomplish those daily objectives. only then can you try to do something else. The above information can only help you if you are really strong minded and disciplined. In fact i think self discipline is the main answer to any lack of focus problem.

I think I also wrote a post about being focused as that is my main problem also.
To do lists are top. I also think you need to focus on two tasks per day and be sure to finish them before moving onto something else... |

focussing is a big factor that supports failing in this industry. one way to stay focuse is to switch off all distractions, i.e disabling websites that you spend your time on i.e face book, youtube etc, and do your marketing 1 hour 10 minute rest for 6 hours?

What works for me is an Excel sheet for a daily schedule.
50 minute increments of focused work..then a 10 minute break for fresh air, bathroom, (allowing myself to what I call off track click on unproductive websites). Then its on to the next task. I used to have the same problem with getting off track and getting sucked into looking at other opportunities. I finally had to decide to have self discipline to stick to an organized plan and refuse to get distracted. One thing to keep in mind is that there are lots of ops out there that can make you money. There was obviously a reason why you joined the one you're in. It can make you money like anything else or you wouldn't have joined. So develop a plan and STICK TO IT!

I deal with a chronic and painful illness everyday, and staying focused is a major issue. I find if try to periodically remind myself of what I want, need, desire, and hope for...not only for myself, but those I love that it helps me put one foot in front of the other...so to speak.

Focus is very important. This gives me the lesson of knowing what you really want and your goal before going to any business. If you like what you are doing and you are contented with it then focus will comes in normally.

If you're on a lot of email lists, get off of them. Go with only a few focused sites or advisors, the rest will only distract you. Also, only read your email once a day, preferably at the end of the day. I find that if I read mine first thing in the morning, it distracts me too much.
Next, set goals and review the tasks you need to accomplish in order to achieve your goals. I like to look at my business from a year at a glance, what do you want to accomplish at the 10,000 foot level, then drill down to each month and then to each week, considering all the tasks you need to accomplish to get your main year's goals accomplished. Use Google Calendar and set it up at the beginning of each week. Give yourself realistice goals and tasks along with realistic time frames to complete them in. Hope that helps, Elizabeth

Hey guys,
I have two things that work for me: The first is that I always keep my mind on what I'm working toward. A new car. New house. New TV. Whatever. Just picture it, and remind yourself that's what you're trying to achieve here. The second, is more work based. Figure out your #1 income producing activity, and do nothing but that for 3 hours as soon as you wake up in the morning. You can easily get a whole day's work done in those three hours, then you're free to get distracted the rest of the day. Both these things work well for me. Hope that helps -David Raybould |

I've tried spreadsheets, Achieve Planner, Franklin Planners, Daytimers, and one thing that has really helped me lately is Mark Joyner's Simpleology, which is free (with frequent upsell emails ;-)
Here are things that really help me: - Heed previous advice and get off all email lists except MAYBE one or two important ones - Pick a money-making project to work on (that you've researched and are reasonably certain others are making money with) and what your goal for this project - a why also helps, as previously mentioned. I like things like Kevin Riley's or Mark Ling's materials, personally. - Every day, decide to complete the next step of that project - however you want to define that, in light of your other commitments, motivation, etc. Maybe it's just signing up for an autoresponder service. Maybe it's writing one email, or one article, or finding an affiliate product to promote, or writing an outline for your own product. - Finish that one thing and FEEL GOOD ABOUT THAT ACCOMPLISHMENT. - The next morning - or the night before - ask yourself what the next task is, and do it. - If you're really feeling gung ho, do two things, or a bigger task, or take a large chunk of focused time and really knock out a chunk of your project. "Put one foot in front of the other / An soon you'll be walking out the door" ;-)
