MLM Vs Affiliate Marketing

Is there anyone on the house that prefer MLM over affiliate marketing?

Just to mention, i use affiliate marketing to make most of what i earn online. I don't know but i have always had a negative look to all MLMs.

Pushing a product though all those levels and stuff like that is not really my thing.

Working with something that your success depends on the success of others, i feel like being tied down or something.

That is just my point of view, maybe i am wrong. Is there anyone currently doing some kind of MLM that is working good for him?

Affiliate marketing is a MUCH better use of your time, well any ones time.

I am no MLM expert, but I've tried a few and it always came down to the same major problem. Couldn't find any one that actually worked the program! It's to be expected, like life, every one want's money, fame, fortune, but few are willing to put in the work.

From my point of view, to make big money in MLM, you need to recruit and build a downline. The basic idea behind MLM sounds fantastic, it makes sense and seems very do-able. The problem I always saw was getting any one in your downline to work the program.

Sure you can make money just selling the "products" of most MLM programs, but let's get real, we all know the big money is in recruiting and multiplying your efforts, least n theory. That is the break in the big MLM chain. It would take tremendous amount of time, energy and money to sell enough "products" to live in a castle.

Of course, few that are in MLM will admit it, they want people in the program, not talked out of it.

As always, this is just my opinion

I am sure we'll see some people that are die-hard MLMer's, that will put their own spin on it.

I don't recommend MLM for newbies becuase MLM includes spending money before you make your first dollar ..in some cases you even have to buy the product to qualify as a member and promote products... In the case of affiliate marketing anyone can start anytime with little expenses like domain, hosting and PPC costs but still affiliate marketing is alot more easy to start with .... I recommended Affiliate Marketing over MLM ...

Yea, i agree with Ron. Affiliate marking is much easier and healthy for newbies. MLM need loads of experience and strong internet marketing. As even i am an affiliate marketer, i would recommend that affiliate marketing only.

affliate is actually some form of mlm but in 1 tier. because of some country rule, if more than 1 tier they need to apply license so it stay at 1 tier.

I have an mlm business. I am earning a comfortable income. It takes at least a year before you see any real returns so you need a strong composition. I recommend you have experience in internet marketing before you contemplate an mlm business.

Sure it comes down to recruiting but at the end of the day I am still selling and I need the same skills as an affiliate marketer. The good thing about mlm is you can take it anywhere whereas affiliate marketing is mainly online based.

MLM businesses are also based around building a list of subscribers so here is another common thread with affiliate marketing. With my list I send out emails for clickbank products and yes I have earned cheques.

Generally you get a lot of tyre kickers but the genuine business people will pay their dues religiously. I would say 5% of people that join my business will pay. I like those odds. It works for me and yes like affiliate marketing is a numbers game.

So all in all there is very little difference accept I earn a recurring income from one effort and affiliate marketers don't.

It might seem negative regarding the challenge in MLM compared to affiliate marketing. It’s a tough business.

I guess it is really for strong people or people who would like to learn to be strong. Or, people who hate the technicalities online - like affiliate marketing.

Like Mr. Kiyosaki mentioned it’s a great training for marketers.

Either one requires work to make money. MLM's seem to promise so much with flashy sales techniques. If you are good salesman or you have access to a lot of people it can be very lucrative but for most they just end up on the bottom rung.

Affiliate marketing is less stressful because you have no requirements except that you need money to pay your bills.

I have tried both and lean towards affiliate marketing but in all honesty I much rather sell my own products.

if your just looking to make money, I think affiliate marketing is the way to go, if your thinking long term and want to build residual income the MLM is the way to go.

Once you are now successful in affiliate marketing and have already learned many things, then if you want to take everything to the next level, go for MLM.
