Offline sources of income?

Hi, I'm new here.

Obviously this is an Internet Marketing forum, and this is my primary interest, however I'm curious about methods used by members to expand their income through offline methods.

My primary target is a very very small (around 10,000 people) market and I want to develop both online and offline methods of raising income. Online will involve a service which will earn me either $50 for 20 minutes work and which I will later outsource so that I will earn about $25 for the time it takes to send a short email. I will also market a book. As my primary target is so small I don't anticipate making much money from the book and I might even give it away for free.

I was thinking however that I could greatly increase my income by some offline activities. My main idea is to offer 1 day special events. These would cost participants about $120, which I don't feel is an unreasonably large sum at which they could learn a lot in the field I'm working in.

The primary costs involved in this would be that of printing handouts and hiring facilities. I think these would come in at under $6 a person. My goal would be to have approximately 50 people (though 100 or 200 would be great!) attend each event. I figure that for a day's work I would be able to take in anywhere from $5,000 and up. This would be something I would intend to offer 2-4 days a month.

Does anyone else do this? If so how have you done? I would primarily recruit people for these events through an email list and website. I might put up some posters around Universities too if needed.

The area I'm working is in test preparation by the way, which is perhaps somewhat different to most other posters on this board. If anyone else is working in this area I'd particularly like to hear how they are doing.

Oh and another thing, I live in S. Korea which is a nation which spends an insane amount of money on private education. The market is not unused to spending extra money on their education outside of school/university! I don't have to persuade people to spend extra money on their education, I just have to persuade them to spend it with ME rather than anyone else. The private education industry is worth about $17billion a year at the moment, it's an insanely large business here.. and I want a slice!

Offline is also part of marketing.You have a nice idea but $120 is quite large.

build a tutoring service in your home, if you have skills like computer or teaching well for sure you will have lots of profits coming

I build often build websites for offline busineses and incorporate SEO and sometimes other advertising streams for them too.

If you have even a basic knowledge of SEO you are an expert compared to most offline business owners!

It's very easy to get started, scout your local area for business that do have a website advertised outside their store, go inside and ask them if they have a website, if they say no, say why not? and explain to them the many benefits of having a website.

You can then use Wordpress to design them a professional looking site in no time at all.
You can also agree on small ongoing monthly fee for maintaining their website for them.

I go scouting businesses whenever i need some quick cash, works like a charm

I'm in the process of looking into freelancing for extra money. There are several sites that you can work through; many of these you can work anywhere in the world. Just google freelancing at home and you can find many companies that hire freelancers.

Just get a day job. That is the best offline income generator!

I really cant give you the great tips but definitely i can give you some of my best tips through my experience. All this i had learnt through my affiliate marketing with Referforex.com. I started with $50 per month and within 10 months now i am earning around $450 per month. These are some points all should always keep in their mind for choosing affiliate and managing them.

offline event is very good money to earn and can build for branding for long term. since you publish the book you sell at major book store.
