Is Internet Marketing "DEAD?"

There are some who think so and I must admit it takes a lot more effort these days to get your message noticed. It looks like there may have been a shift from the conventional methods of internet marketing to other types, like social networks and You Tube.

No, it's not dead it just depend on the way you promote your products and services.

No I don't think so internet marketing will never die and it will have its place always in the future and it will go on forever and ever. I don't think it is dead or it will do in the future.

IM is most definitely alive and well. Social/Web 2.0 Marketing is a new concept but just an another component of Internet Marketing.

Not dead at all, but I do believe that it does take increased efforts to stand out above the rest since there is so much competition on the internet these days. I think the more creative ways of internet marketing such as email marketing to opt in lists and building customer loyalty is more imoprtant now than ever and should be focused on.

How can you have doubt that internet marketing will not last long.
With the tremendous evolution in e-commerce industry it will be a never ending field.Most of the businesses are shifting from offline to online to get a large market.Affiliate Marketing is the best way to start with.

I think the net has actually expanded, diversified and become specialized ..
As it continues to grow so will the number of specialized fields. It is still in it's infant stages.

I think your right. I've been doing IM for 18 months now and I think anyone starting out has a tough time getting through the garbage that gets them bogged down mostly, the MLM programs and social networks are over saturated that promise the riches that are simply not there, Ive been there and done that but fortunetley I have moved on to much better things.

I don't think so. It has just changed alot evolving to the next level. There have been alot of people in the past who have pulled scams on the unsuspecting. And it has just made people more aware and wary of people selling online. The basic principals still exist (but when you can change your identity online everyday it's hard to know who the scammers are.) It will never come to an end. Here is a link to an article

Internet marketing is not dead. It has merely evolved.

-There is much more of a reliance now on users to "spread the message".

-Video is playing a much bigger role than before.

-Search engine marketing is changing as the major engines evolve -- Big changes coming for Google!

It is just a matter of keeping up with the latest changes.
