A Ton Of Leads: What To Do?

Hi;
I have a conundrum on my hands:
Every day I get on average 12 to 13 signups to my free classifieds site. I would like to make money from these signups but have no clue what to promote that applies to ALL signups. It's too much of a pain promoting each category seperately. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Lodester

To better answer your question, I have to first ask one of my own... what are they signing up for?

If you stick to whatever it is they're signing up for to begin with, that should give you a good idea of what to promote to them.

For example: a person signing up to a free, online classified site to promote their affiliate offers, etc., will probably be interested in list building products, anything in the make money niche, and any other IM related topics.

Start with whatever it is they're signing up for, and keep what you promote to them along those same lines

Peace.

Thanks for the response. But that is exactly my problem: people sign up under different categories (computers, real estate, pets, cars, etc. - 16 different categories total). I would have to promote 16 different products (1 per category) and that is too much to keep track of. Instead I would like to promote 1 or 2 products only that somehow could apply to every category, regardless of the topic (am I making sense?).

Thanks again.

I haven't made much money yet online, but I have just signed up to a list-building site which may well solve all your problems. It is brand new, but operated by an experienced and successful marketer. They offer a free seven-day trial and all the training you will ever need. I am totally delighted with the results so far. Try it

One Minute Sites!

Sorry it took me so long to reply - been moving to a new flat, and out of touch for some time.

Listen, you don't need to sell/promote a different product for each category, just products for the categories which will make you the most money. Do a bit of market research to see which niche would make you the most money, and only choose to market to those leads.

For example, if you have more people signing up in the "Pets" category, try promoting an affiliate product with a high conversion on pet care/training/etc.

Jessalynn offered sound advice.

In order to properly provide for your market you must first understand them! You need to find out what their BIGGEST problem is.. and solve it. That simple.

If you do not understand your people and their biggest needs.. you will never be able to provide for them which means you will never be able to make much money. Bottom Line.

So how do you do this?

Research!

Jessalynn offered great advice by simply targeting one of the groups. Instead of worrying about EVERYONE.. why not just concentrate on 1.. See where the biggest interest is (or your biggest interest for that matter).. and concentrate solely on those people for now.

If the classified section for pets is booming.. Concentrate on them. Build it out. then expand.

Ever hear the saying.. You can please some of the people all of the time, but you CAN'T please all of the people all of the time"

The same is true with this!

YOU CAN NOT please all of these people if you don't understand them. So don't bother. A list of 10,000 untargeted unmotivated people is worthless compared to a list of 500 laser targeted people.

If you are trying to go after a broad market then you NEED to find a product/service that appeals to a WIDE market.. but it's a shot in the dark. Sure if you put your product in front of millions of people.. someone is going to bite.. and if you keep shooting in the dark.. you're bound to nail someone sooner or later.

But the secret to domination is to zone in on ONE group of people.. and be the best at providing the greatest value to them.. then expand..

Hope that helps!
Jarrett
