2. Building an optin email marketing list is what successful online business owners focus on. A large email list of qualified subscribers can generate thousands of dollars for you monthly.

Using every opportunity to build your list is important and something you should focus on. You can do this by offering such things as free ebooks or a free report on a splash page in exchange for your website visitors name and email address. I do agree with you on most of the things above. i do have an issue with your 3rd point. it is true that paid traffic is great, but the best an most reliable traffic is search engine traffic, which is free traffic. since backlinks are the basis of this free traffic, i guess you covered that point too.

online success also counts so much on consistency. you have to be consistent in what ever you are doing. don't do this today do that tomorrow and do another thing the next day. you should be focus all the time. don't try to do 100 things at the same time.

Good points. Most of the time people think that they can be successful in an online business without the help of experts. But this is not true. Being successful in an online business is not as simple as being successful in an offline business. I do agree with article submissions, forum postings, commenting on blogs are the effective ways to get back links.

Great share. In addition, every start up business aspirants should try to act like a sponge and absorb the necessary information scattered around that's revolving in the world of internet marketing. Joining this forum is already an education at itself as well as using search engines for doing your homework. But be careful though, not every information out there are helpful and authentic, but rather the opposite so look before you leap.

Hi everyone just wanted to add something to the already great info.

Finding out about copy writing will help you become more successful online. Its something that is greatly overlooked, using action words like "Discover" or "Find Out how"...all help to build your customers impulsive buying emotions, that eventually will lead them to click on.

I agree with the points mentioned above. SEO does take time and effort, and you always need to implement the right strategy for your campaign. Not all projects use the same amount of link building and directory submissions, for example. Continually track your progress too so that you can focus on areas of improvement.

Whether offline or online, there are only two things that matter: “Buying” and “Selling”. Basically, to simplify, it all comes down to this:

* Who is your customer?
What is he or she specifically looking for? You must know their problems or desires. You must be in their shoes and find out what is that would make them feel better (an offer).

* What is your offer?
Why should they buy from you? How come you’re better than the rest? Why should they trust you? Are you offering your own or someone else’s product? How will you create an irresistible offer so they beg you to sell it to them?

Making your website visible to your potential customers is the first thing that you need to target. SEO is the best strategy to enhance your website visibility and to place your site in higher ranks of the search engines.
