Hi to all the Christians in the house!

At this point in time when Jesus our lord and savior in being crucified on the cross, i just want to take this opportunity to ask why we call it the Good Friday

I have asked 101 pastors and they keep telling me the same thing: That Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins!.

So dose it mean that Christians are happy that Jesus was Killed?

Jesus death is not what we christians want to see but it was a Mission from God. Some says Good Friday originally come from God's Friday and some says Good Friday is Holy day and even Mourning day in German.
In order for us to receive salvation in life, Jesus has to be sacrified as lamb. His death bring salvation to the world for those who believe in him. They called it "Good" Friday simply is a Good news to all of our sins can be forgiven on this cross and free from the bondage of the sins. Without this crucifixion there will be no Good news to bring salvation to this world.

i believe it's because the word 'good' is an archaic/old english form of 'holy'. if you are not comfortable about using the word, you can use 'holy' or 'black'...
