Who will be the Next President of the United States?

I was just curious who everybody thinks is going to the next President. I think it is going to be Mitt Romney

I think you are correct! Here's why I think that:

I believe the Democrates will elect either Clinton or Obama at the convention and which ever is selected to run there will take the other as a running mate. The theory being that they will draw votes from both sides of their backers. However, they are both very contoversial, being the first women president and first Black president. I don't think the voters in the presidential race will be able to accept that much of a change from the norm!

For the republicans; I think Mitt Romney, even tho being Mormon, will be accepted by the voters. Remember back when Kennedy ran for president....big problem because he would be the first Catholic president! We all learned that his religion wasn't a bit of a problem and I think Mitt will be accepted just as quickly by the voters!

John McCain is just too old and we don't want who he might pick as vice-president to take over for him!

honestly, I hope I move out of the country before the next election - the race is about skin color and gender now - not the best leader for the country

I'm with you, Doug.

I'm not sure that anyone running is even qualified for the job at this point. We can choose between race, gender, or religious creed; but who have they presented who's actually qualified to do the job?

Ah well, I suppose it doesn't really matter. Now that the debates have hit the internet this time around, future presidents will probably just be running the country from behind a computer. Then IMers with no political ties at all can get in on the running

This is one election I would prefer not to vote in. I like Mitt Romney, but I don't think he's going anywhere soon, then McCain is a little too old. He'd be good, but you've got to worry about his health, so the vice president pick will make a big difference. As far as Clinton goes, I don't think a women will make the office yet in the USA. I know other countries are run by women, but I don't think we are quite ready for it. Maybe they need to make a bunch of movies portraying a women president first. I also think of Bill whenever I hear Hillary and I don't think his reputation is going to help her win. She probably already ran the country for 8 years. He was busy elsewhere.

I don't know, folks. From the way things looked last night, I think Hill may actually take this one

Peace

I'm heading to the hills When you stop and think about it, the president isn't the only one running the country. He/she can veto things we would like them to pass, and declare war, but they usually have to go through steps to do much of anything. They aren't God. We need to pick a person who is sensible and makes mature descions. They aren't going to change our healthcare system or anything else without the rest of the congress cooperating, they can't change our country. They do need to be a good representative of our country and be able to talk with other country leaders to resolve issues and not create them. I really don't think other countries leaders will look up to Hillary. Not after Bill's turn in office. He was considered such a joke by the time his term ended, other country leaders saw him that way and it'll reflect on Hillary.

MItt Romney, John McCain, Or Mike Huckabee

By Super Tuesday the Republican field will be down to Three viable men. Mitt Romney, John McCain, and Mike Huckabee. After that, whoever comes out of Supe Tuesday with the most delegates wins the nomination. Then the Republican nominee beats H.R. Clinton.
