An ideal website should be user-friendly, simple and straightforward. Those are just my opinions.

It may be easier to say what it should not be.
Should not be busy, multi colored and difficult to read.
Should not have adds all over the place.
Should not require sign in if not member
Should not require special downloads to view such as flash player etc.
Just a few should nots.
