Adwords campagin is a tricky one. There are many factors to consider such as ads and landing page relevance, your competitors' bids, location, etc.

Here is my plan of attack with Adwords (copied from elsewhere)

Google Adwords Tips

Many of us are using Google Adwords to supplement our advertising and now better understanding why Google is so filthy rich. Everytime Google makes a change to their processes that they say is better for the consumer, somehow our costs seem to go up as well. Everytime google give us some new tool to help us we also find our costs go up.

Googles most recent improvement theme has been to provide consumers with relevant ads and its judges relevancy by your ad and the click through rate (CTR). Google assumes the more clicks to your ad the more relevant it must be. Co-incidentally the more relevant ads they have the more clicks and the more money. What they don't want is your ad wasting their space if no-one is going to click on it even if it has a massive price on it!

To assist your understanding of how they view your keywords they have invented a Quality Score (QS) which ranges between 0 - 10 with 10 being the best score. The QS can be seen on your adwords campaign.
Heres the tricky part - If you have a low QS then paying top money for your keyword won't get you to the top as they reason they won't get your money if no one clicks on it. Having a high QS will allow you to go higher at less cost because they see your ad as relevant and people will click on it and they will get the money. New keywords usually start of with a QR of 7 and will go up or down according to their performance. In short - you make them money through clicks and you'll be rewarded through position.

So here is my tips for being cost effective with Adwords.

1) Using googles keyword tool to find as many keyword variations is counter productive to getting a high QR. Some believe that an ad campaigns performance can be dragged down by having lots of crap keywords. Stick to 'core' keywords that drive your business. Around 3 keywords per Ad Campaign should do it.

2) If using a new keyword start off with a higher price to try to force more clicks on it. As you see the QS rise because of increase CTR then slowly reduce you keyword price. If you do this slowly you shouldn't drop down. The CTR is the ration of impressions to clicks. Having heaps of impressions but not clicks is bad for QR.

3) Use different ad campaigns with different ads for different offerings. ie Weddings should have a different ad and campaign from airport transfers. Its all about being relevant.

4) Eliminate poor performing keywords as soon as you can see a trend.

5) Use the three forms of keywords.
limousine melbourne - the keywords hummer limousine will trigger your ad
"limousine melbourne" - the keywords hummer limousine melbourne will trigger your ad
[limousine melbourne] - only limousine melbourne will trigger your ad\

Use the three versions and eliminate the ones that are not performing or giving you the wrong customers.

6) Use negative keywords with a minus sign in front of them to eliminate non relevant clicks.
- Hummer - you wont get clicks where someone has used Hummer in their keywords
- melbourne - try and eliminate surrounding areas you don't service.
- cheap - get rid of tight customers.

7) Set the region on adwords to only where you service - no point showing you ads elsewhere. This only ads impressions and reduces your CTR.

Set the times on adwords to when you think they are most effective. For me people don't ring late so I don't run paid ads. Too early in the morning is similar.

9) Understand what keywords people are using to get to your site so you can fine tune your ads or add more specific keywords. Use programs like Google Analystics (tags off) or Statcounter to give you the detail.

10) Some where between number 2 and 4 postion seems to be the most cost efficient.

11) Put your core keywords in your google ad so that the ad is seen relevant to the keywords and will generate a higher CTR.

12) Using Analytics or Statcounter, review how long people stay on your landing page based on the keywords they select. If you are trying to lure Hummer Customers to your Lincoln site and find they are leaving as quick as they arrived then best to forget that strategy as you are wasting getting a genuine click.

13) Don't use your oppositions business name in your keywords trying to hijack them as your oppostion can easily tell if you are doing that and it becomes just another non relevant keyword search.

14) Review your adwords campaign daily and adjust to make more effective by changing keywords or campaign value. I set the value higher Mon to Thurs than I do Fri to Sun.

15) If suspicious of a dodgy CTR from bogus clickers then use a program like statcounter to see which Ip addresses they are coming from. Report to Google if you can prove it. Don't repeated click on your oppositons adword ad as they can tell where it came from if needed.

16) Above all else, work on your website to improve your organic searches so they you are reliant on adwords.

Sure, start with allowing adwords to do the bidding for you. Make groups of keywords with similar competition and then start bidding on your own.

There is so much talk on adwords theses days. No doubt Google is as rich as they are. There is so much hype on the whole thing too.

Testing and testing is the key to success, but believe it or not, luck also counts a great deal!!!

Yes i believe they are so many hype on adwords campaign..but i not really accept word luck for adword campaign..the first thing is to avoid using word that so general such as making money, fast millionaire, millionaire, because this word always be used by someone to promote something that hype.....try focus on your keyword...dont put keyword that too general..
