I so wanna create an ebook cover.
Will those ecover softwares work fine? I don't wanna pay a graphic artist because my budget is limited. lol

I use coveractionpro.
It gives me great looking ecovers. I love it very much.

Regardless of which software you have in order to create the ecovers, you still need a good imagination and knowledge to create the cover image in the first place. But to answer your question YES those ecover products do work very well

Use Photoshop
POhotoshop is best tool for what you want to do. It is much easy to make e book cover with help of photoshop.

Generally I outsource that part of the work. I my girlfriend is actually good at it. so sometimes I let her do it for me. I mean when she is free. You know women.

Well, in conjunction with Photoshop, I use something called VirualCoverGenerator (you can easily search for this on the web) which works great, and you may also need an ebook Action Script to generate the covers in Photoshop.

E-book Cover
I've used LaughingBird in the past and it was fairly easy.
How do you use PhotoShop? I have it but only use it to touch up graphics and photos or do screen shots.
