I have heard to use firefox over internet explorer can anyone tell me why firefox is better than internet explorer or viaa versa?

What should I be using and Why?

i have found it crashes less than IE, FF gets my vote

The universal believe is that firefox is better. A good feature of firefox is that it starts you from where you stopped.

Firefox has my vote. I've been using it for some time now. It just doesn't seem to have the problems that IE has and I've heard that FF is considered "safer" too.

Lots of good add-ons available for FF as well.

I don't really think this is a topic worth debating. Firefox has its downs, but it is the best as for now. I particularly like their password saving feature. Their ad-ons are amazing!

I'm not sure for others, but for me, Firefox seems more stable when I open multiple windows and tabs. Also, i think Firefox has more add ons compared to IE.

I have used Firefox for the last 6 years at least, I just like it... and I like the fact that when it does crash you get to save where you were. Well, I shouldn't say when the browser crashes because my computer just locked up and voila my information on what I was browsing still came back up when I got back into firefox.. I don't see IE doing that!

Better is relative to the user.. In this case, you would look at % of users of each browser, I think IE and Firefox are pretty close or comparible if you will.. Like I said, it is up to your preferences...

Firefox extra points: Flexibility with addons / plugins
Firefox = stability

IE = visuals slightly better in many cases... but a little slower and not as stable.
