Facebook has got hugely popular, some says that joining groups can drive traffic, some says maintaining the updates of your website on almost regular basis and joining groups and network blogs can help. Last thing there is no free advertising section, there is one but we can’t promote multiple products there and its very rarely seen by facebook visitors, so apart from all this things, which really doesn’t work so effective, how do you drive traffics from facebook? what procedures do you implement? don’t pass some stupid answers.. if you have received success then be specific.

I think the only way to get real traffic through facebook is to make a group and invite 1000's of people.

Make a group that's ineterested in your niche and write some decent paes about products you want to sell.

Its all about being active. The tough part is to get specific people to join to be your friends when you do it for a company that targets specific clients.

You can join groups and now there is a way to start you very own fan club.

I know that it sounds almost vain (I don't have the nerve yet!) but you can start your own fan club. My coach has done this and is having tremendous success. It set up very similar to a group, but it is called a fan club and it is meant more to create a "branding" of yourself.

Because I haven't tried it, I can't tell you how to do it, but Facebook isn't hard to figure out.

I read an ebook recently about using facebook ads (paid version, much cheaper than Google and still a huge audience)

You must measure your efforts. You need an efficient process. Link everything up so that you only need to post or update in one place and it updates everything else. Facebook consists of your personal profile, pages and group.

Basically you create a page and group and become a fan of your own page/group. Your friends will see that you have become a fan of a page/group and curiosity will get the better of them. Keep your personal separate from your business or Facebook don't like this. Besides the company is a separate entity to the individual anyway.

Social media networking in general is based upon trust. Your friends on Facebook trust you to make a good decision. You decided to join a page/group so they will too. Obviously not everyone will join but a proportion will. Measuring this proportion and improving upon your conversion is key to a successful long term social media marketing strategy so bear that in mind.

A great piece of advice I can give you - your website is generally static and is updated less frequently than your Blog/Facebook/Twitter/Linkedin/MySpace so why are you directing people to your website who you know don't trust you enough to buy from you or use your services yet. Let them get you know you through social media first and when the window of opportunity arrives and they actually need your service/product they will find your website.
