New to Social Bookmarking
Whilst looking into it, I've come across the terms do-follow and no-follow, and I was just wondering what these terms meant. Also, what's the best way to actually approach social bookmarking for increasing brand exposure?

This is a new thing Google is doing. You can install an SEO pack from Google, which will highlight any do not follow blogs and pages. On the do-follow blogs, you are allowed to post a link to your website. You can also do a Google search for do-follow blogs.

Do follow links mean that google will give you a credit for that backlink. No follow is the opposite, you can have a link on some site pointing back to your site but if it is no follow google may not give you credit for it.
Backlinks are important for SEO and do-follow is what makes the difference when it comes to counting the backlinks.

In blog posting your must find a site that is do follow but in social bookmarking its either dofollow or nofollow.

Hi,
Actually when Google crawl it leaves all the no follow links and sites. So even we can get traffic from those links, but we couldn't get the SEO values by those sites like back links, PR.
