You said that you tried writing good content for your website but you have no visitors. You didn't really say to much about what your site was about, but it doesn't really matter. Anytime you make a website you must start with a certain topic, or theme that your site is based on. Hopefully that theme or topic is something that you know something about, or are willing to do some research on to come up with content.

Just because you create a website doesn't mean that anybody is going to find it unless you promote it. Also the theme or topic of your website should have some keywords, or phases that explains what your site is about. You would want to write content using those keywords, and phases throughout you sites content. That will help you get indexed with the search engines.

If you want to write the content yourself, make a list of all the different things you can think of that relate to the topic or theme of your site. Each one of those items on that list can now become an article. For each article use the keywords or phases that not only go with the article, but also the ones that are the bases of your website theme or topic as well as long as it fits the article.

You want to write as if you are talking to someone that is sitting right in front of you. Write like you are explaining or telling them about what it is you are writing about. If you want to research your topic do a search on it and look at 6 or 8 sites about it and make notes. You don't want to copy someone elses work, but you can read what they have, and put it in your own words.

Basic rules for writing is to write like you talk, have a starting point, middle, and a end, or resolution to the topic. Write in short paragraphs and use headers throughout the article for skimmers. Start with a great headline that grabs your audiences interest. Capitalize the first letter of each word in your headline, and headers and do not type in ALL CAPS except to make a point with one or two words. Make sure there is a space between your paragraphs. Article length should be between 350 - 600 words for submitting sites. For your own site anything over 800 words should be broken down into two or more articles.
